Doctors dying everyday: Can you Imagine a Nation without doctors?

Dear People of India,

Our country losing doctors everyday:

As we all know more than 580 doctors got an unnatural & early death due to Covid-19. Sorry, not only due to covid-19 but lack of necessary equipments like PPE kit, not allowed to take breaks from covid duties, not getting tested on time, not getting bed in same hospital where they are working  & without proper protection from the mad mob. Apart from this, working day & night without proper food & rest are also playing a pivotal role in doctors death. And the remaining doctors are getting killed by depression day by day slowly slowly...

The heavy cost of studies:

Studying Medicine not only cost money but the whole youth years of a person in struggle. No one is studying medicine free of cost let it be from govt. or private medical college. After years of hard work....When a student takes admission in govt. medical college he/she has to fill the bond  of 15-20 lacs plust 3-5 years of rural service, if he is not able to clear it ....life just finished. And when a student gets admission in private college, money & life both goes in hell, if not able to clear...hear also finished. Wait this is only first step....after MBBS the real struggle starts.....not getting pg despite working hard everyday.....depression....again studying.....gets pg finaly with loss of 3-4 years of precious youth years.......Again 3 years of pathetic life starts with hell of work, duties, scoldings etc etc. after finishing pg & being alive some how now the doctor start searching for job & allas! what he gets is pay in peanuts & hell of situation of work place.....then also trying to save people every day.... and people think....Doctors ki to ash he!

What is happening now?

Every time when a doctor die or get humiliated, community of doctors get agitated, demand for their own cadre, protection, equipment etc. Later politicians/doctor turned politicians make promises to correct everything but nothing happens. Doctors, who are overburdened by work again start focusing on duties, again gets beaten & dies. Everyone writes RIP, was a good person, deeply saddened etc..etc & the vicious cycle continues.....Yes every doctor is safe in this country till their number to die does not come?

What is the impact on doctors?

This pathetic situation of doctors in our country is breaking doctors everyday from the bottom of their heart. They have started

• Avoiding taking extra risks to save the patient to prevent himself/herself getting threatened if patient dies
• Taking subjects which does not much patient exposure
• Referring patients to higher center to prevent patient dying in his/her clinic/hospital
• Working in corporate hospital who provide them protection at least however they are also draining the doctors like hail
• Avoiding to work in rural areas where people always think doctors are the looters & killers.
• Many more doctors just shifting their profession as they don't  want to live this chaos anymore.
• Stopping their children to become doctors in future so that at least their children will have a life with the family.

What will be the impact on the society?

Never think if doctors are dying, only some persons dye. 

• The dream of the children of India to become doctors are also dying. They will no more want to be a doctor.
• In India a single doctor caters thousands of people, by death of doctors lakhs of people are going to suffer due to lack of health care.
• The more doctors will suffer, the more health care system will suffer & our country will suffer.
• And ultimately researches will decrease, health programmes will not work efficiently...finally people will die at mass level even with minor problems.
• and definitely economy of the country will be affected as unwell & sick people can't put their full energy to work & development.

What are the solution?

• Reduce the working hours to not more than 48 hours a week.
• Change the duties from covid area at least in one month.
• All necessary equipments & PPE kit of good quality should be provided to every doctor.
• Medical cadre should be established in the country.
• Doctors should be provided with adequate protection from mob.
• Extra incentives should be given for extra work along with salary & don't cut their payment due to silly reasons.
• They should be provided with proper hostel, residence & canteen at hospital campus.
• They should be given priority for testing & admission in the hospital in case of sickness.
• Senior faculty should understand the situation of junior doctors & stop treating them like slaves & stop humiliating them & pressurizing them for own benefit.
• Junior doctors also have families & personal life & they also need leave from duties to relax themselves.

What people should understand?

• People should understand doctors are not GODs but human beings like them who has knowledge to try to save the patient but they can't guarantee everyone for 100% cure because every body is different in functioning & response to medicines.
• Doctors also get hurt when someone injure them, they are not superhumans.
• They don't have superpowers to cure everything, many diseases are still incurable. 
• It takes many years to search for a medicine or vaccine for a disease, no wonders happen in a single day in medicine.
• It takes 15 to 20 years to make a doctor with hard work of not only the doctor but his/her whole family & govt.
• If a doctor dies in India thousands of people get deprived of medical facility due to very less doctor population ratio.

Now anyone can imagine the situation of future India...if doctors continue to die with current rate.........
